Everyone else is doing it, why shouldn’t I?

Heather tagged me, or at least tried to but my spam comment deterrants actually kept her from posting a comment too. Maybe I should look into fixing that.

Seven random facts about yourself then tag some other people.

  1. I wrestled for two years in middle school. After one practice I entered a pre-season tournament and made it to the quarterfinals by pinning my opponents in the first round. In the quarterfinals I got my ass kicked by the guy who won the tournament. It was one of the few times in my life I have been unaware which direction was up without alcohol being involved. I eventually quit wrestling when I realized that I had no desire to take diuretics and not eat in order to drop weight.
  2. I was in the jazz band in high school for two years. They asked me to play because no one in the band could play the bass guitar. I still can’t read music at all. The band director just told me the root notes and suggested that I make up some notes in between. We won multiple competitions. I got an award for outstanding bass solo at one competetion.
  3. I can’t stand it when people leave the caps off of bottles when they are not actively drinking from them. I guess it’s because I’m paranoid about spilling said drink and I think if there’s a resealable cap, it should be used at all times.
  4. I believe cooked broccoli might be the most disgusting smell ever.
  5. I was fourteen the first time I gambled in a casino. I was in Panama (the one time I’ve been that I can remember) and I played at the slot machine room in the mall. I won $40 in a $.10 slot machine by hitting the double bar. I think if I would have maxed out the machine ($.50) I would have won something like $500. Then we went to one of the local Panama City casinos where I played a few hands of blackjack and won.
  6. I’ve been through somewhere around 24 hours of polygraph interviewing while applying to work at our two secret government agencies. Looking back, it was some of the most interesting interviewing experiences I’ve had in my life. I would recommend it to anyone that can get through the 34 page application process.
  7. I’ve only been kicked out of one concert in my life. It was the White Zombie/Prong tour in 1994, I believe. I got kicked out of the show for crowdsurfing during the Prong set. I had to watch the entire White Zombie set from outside the venue. This was one of the few times that I carpooled to a concert with people so I had to wait for the show to end. It sucked.
