Targeted marketing works!

I have an amazing spam filter at work. Seriously, I went from averaging 100+ SPAM messages per day (1200+ on weekends) to averaging 2 per day. The rest of the SPAM messages show up in a single “SPAM Service” notification email. This way I can troll through the entire list and make sure there aren’t any false positives. Today I noticed that “ztavvsfreplrd@comcast.net” (obviously a good friend of mine) sent me a message with the subject “RoboCop Is Back!!”. Now I’m just trying to figure out how the spam-bots tied my late night movie watching schedule to my email address. The future is now! Sadly, I know there are no new RoboCop movies coming out. If I really wanted my RoboCop fix I’d have to buy the video game and that review really doesn’t make it sound enticing.

In other news, nine hours to party time. Katstavo III makes this Friday better than good. See you all there.

(Incidentally in another Microsoft oversight, “RoboCop” isn’t in the MS Word spell check. Ridiculous)

Poker books work! (I was keeping in the theme of your title.) This is unrelated to your topic but as a fellow poker player I thought you may appreciate it. I entered an Omaha tournament yesterday on PartyPoker and won. It is my first big tourny win (265 players) and first Omaha tournament. I mostly play NLHE but bought/read an Omaha book a couple weeks ago and voila.
