There’s no such thing as moops

After doing a ton of traveling and other non-poker related business, I finally got around to playing some. Started it off with the April’s Poker Princess Invitational where I started off awesome, but ended up both busting out as the bubble and dealing Kat’s losing hand. You can read all about it from CJ’s report on Up For Poker. The only thing I really remember is that I busted out in 4th place and once again had to live the lonely life as a bubble boy. I was really happy with my play, but when it came down to it, I just didn’t have the cards (or possibly the skill to win. I might have been lacking there too).

Feeling good about my tournament play, I played a couple multi-table tournaments on Full Tilt. The quality of play was definitely better at the Poker Princess Invitational than it is online, so I should do better, right? Wrong. Bubble again. Now it was time for something different. After reading a bazillion Titan Poker posts from Scott, I decided to give them a shot. Tonight’s results were favorable.

Not bad for a $7 investment.

After the first hour of the $1000 turbo, I was pretty sure I’d be playing for a while. So I decided I should play the $20 Freezeout. That worked pretty well too.

It’s been a good night for poker. The really amazing thing about the $3 turbo is that I started the final table with less than two big blinds and at no point in the final table did I get over five times the big blind. I should really be thanking DJJACKS because he did a phenomenal job as the chip lead busting everyone out before me. I was really trying to hold out for jcash to lose, but it was pretty much over for me when he whipped out the hammer on a blind all-in for two pair.

This is definitely more fun than playing Trivial Pursuit.

Oh yeah, and Kat and I are officially booked for Las Vegas in December. We aren’t taking any time off work though, so it’ll be a bit of a short trip for us. We’ll find a way to make it work.

Arrive Las Vegas 9pm on Friday, Dec. 9th
Depart Las Vegas 6:45pm on Sunday, Dec. 11th

Vegas…so jealous. Hit the Aladdin for a noon tourney on friday and saturday…$100 entry and about 100 players, payouts are good and the players are marginal at best. Finished 4th and won a little over $900.

If not there…then hit the Barbary Coast for $5 blackjack and LIT’s…for old time sake.
