Note: I’m not sure what happened with this post. I uploaded it about a week ago and I guess it didn’t publish. Crazy. Anyway:

Last week we played the worst indoor team we’ve played in some time. I’m not trying to be mean, but they were bad. We won the game with no substitutes. They had 4 subs. But that’s not really the interesting part. They had a guy on their team named Gus. As an aside, it drives me crazy when I’m around people who are not related to me named Gus. I’m sure it’s easy for all of you Jasons, Michaels, Johns, etc, but I’m used to being the only Gus around. So when I’m playing soccer, I don’t like to have people on the field yelling at “Gus”, but not referring to me. When I was walking outside after my game, I noticed him walking to his car. It was a silver Maxima, somewhere between a 2000 and a 2002 (ie-the exact body style of mine). Then I noticed that he has a dented bumper as well, only on the left side instead of the right side on mine. Creepy. But at least now I have an alibi if I ever commit a crime. “No officer, you must be thinking of the other Gus, the one in his late thirties with the ponytail, who drives the silver maxima. I can see how you would be confused.”
